Waarom draai je nog geen LINUX

Waarschijnlijk draai je nog geen LINUX uit onwetendheid of angst voor het onbekende. Maar daar is geen reden voor. Met LINUX kun je alles wat je ook met Windows kan, of zelfs beter, en vaak gratis met goed onderhouden en ondersteunde applicaties.

Er zijn meerdere distributies, smaken van LINUX, zoals fedora, debian, gentoo, centos en slackware. De kern, oftewel de kernel, is tussen deze verschillende distributies wel nagenoeg gelijk. Ook kun je bij LINUX kiezen welke desktop je gebruikt, de bekendste zijn KDE en GNOME. Persoonlijk gebruik ik fedora (op dit moment versie 11) met GNOME.
